Galan comes in and hurriedly takes off his platemail, cleans and polishes it. Then he bathes and trims his hair and beard. "I looked horrid! Why'd she look at me like I was in shining armour or something?"
He dressed in his best clothing, wanting to look nice for Talia. He looks out the window and sees the sun setting! "I have to go!"
He rushes out, getting his lute on the way out.

Galan enters his room, and desides to check in on Alexis, carrying a lit lantern. He taps on the door adjoining his room to hers.
He faintly hears her say, "Yes, sir?"
Opening the door, he asks. "Are you alright, Alexis?" He sees she's curled up on her side with her back to him.
"Yes." Alexis says quietly, trying not to let it show she'd been crying.
He comes into the room and puts the lantern down on the nightstand. He gently places a hand on her shoulder.
"What troubles you?" He asks, even though he could guess. They had had a deep conversation as they travelled back to Yearnath from the battle camp about her revealing her secret. He told her he would support her in whatever way she decided to choose.
"I'm just nervous about tomorrow... I'm afraid I may loose a friend."
"Christian?" He guessed. He knew the two were close. His guess was confirmed by a silent nod.
"Christian seems to be a very fair person. I doubt he'll turn his back on you." He carressed her hair. "Get some rest. You have a long day ahead of you."
Turning over, Alexis looked up at Galan and takes hold of his hand. "Thank you, sir. For everything you've done for me. Whatever happens, I'll never forget it."
Galan simply leans down and kisses her forehead and gently orders, "Sleep, Alexis."
Since she was almost going off to sleep when he came in, she didn't have trouble complying. As she drifted off, she said softly. "Your lute is in it's case."
"Thank you, Alexis." He whispers, then goes back into his room and dresses for bed, then sleeps.

Before checking in where he's supposed to work, Samuel goes to Sir Galan's room and frantically knocks on his door.
Already having dressed, and about to go out the door, he answers right away. "Yes? What's wrong?" He has a sense of dread when he sees the small peasant before him. Talia, what's happened to her?
"Talia..." Pants Samuel. "She's been hurt bad! I found her in the road, and took her to the healers'!"
"Thank you," Galan says as he rushes out of his room and takes off at a run.

Comes into his room and knocks on Alexis' door. "Alexis, are you there?"
He knew King Balian enough to know he wasn't going to punish Alexis for being a girl. However, he was worried about other people's reactions and how Alexis would handle it.
He heard the muffled reply for him to come in. He opened the door and saw Alexis laying with her back to him, hugging a pillow. "Alexis? Are you alright?"
Alexis turned over and sat up. Looking at Galan, she said. "Well, I went to court to tell the King I was a girl and not a boy... he had special armor made for me..."
